Four men and a boat
Posted September 18th, 2007 by nickomatic4 men need to cross a river. They only have 1 boat which holds a max of 2 people. The slowest man always rows the boat.
It takes man 'A' - 10 mins to row across the river
man 'B' - 5 mins to row across the river
man 'C' - 2 mins to row across the river
man 'D' - 1 min to row across the river
How can they all get across the river in no more than 17 minutes?
